“ Ono kine grindz is fantastic! Plantation dishes cooked to perfection! The owners David and Guy ...and the line chef Reba pour their heart and soul into preparing these authentic Hawaiian dishes! So much to look at and all beautiful! ”
“ Ono Kine Grindz helped make our wedding an unforgettable experience! The shoyu chicken and kalua pork were a huge hit with our guests, many of whom had never tried Hawaiian food before. And don’t even get me started on the haupia cream puffs—they were to die for! Deb and Amber were the absolute best catering crew. They came up with ideas on the fly, helped with setup and cleanup, and brought such good vibes the whole time. If you’re in Wisconsin and craving a taste of the islands, look no further than Ono Kine Grindz! Mahalo for everything! ”
“ This lovely, unique, and cozy restaurant offers amazingly authentic Hawaiian cuisine. We enjoyed the Fresh Salmon and BBQ Pork Sliders with macaroni-potatoe salad, carrot-pinapple, and rice. ”
“ Very homey restaurant with nice and funny staff. The chicken was tender but a little saltier than I would have preferred. Recommend the spam musubi and steak loco moco ”
“ Ono Kine Grindz was amazing to work with for our wedding! Guy and David, the owners, treated us like family from the very beginning. During our tasting, they were so attentive to us and gave us a taste of practically the whole menu! My family came with us for the tasting and were so impressed, and stuffed, by the end of it! We also used them for our desserts. Amber made us three kinds of cupcakes: double chocolate, coconut, and our personal favorite guava. So many compliments from our guests about the cupcakes! For dinner, we picked the Kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, salmon, purple sticky rice, pineapple-carrot coleslaw, and stir-fried veggies. Our favorite was the salmon, but so many guests had rave review about the teriyaki chicken. We also did passable apps during happy hour which consisted of pork and veggie pot stickers, sausage skewers, and fruit skewers. The catering staff during the wedding were wonderful. One of the gals greeted us with hugs and passed along warm wishes from Guy and David. Talk about great service! We recommend Ono Kine Grindz for any of your catering needs, but especially weddings! ”
“ Stopped for dinner after a day trip to Milwaukee and was delighted by the amazing combination of flavors, spices, and textures! This place is an absolute treasure. Will definitely come again! ”
“ Maybe I’m biased because I worked here in highschool, but their food has always been some of the best in Milwaukee. People in food service know that if a places doesn’t have good food, you get tired of it and grow to hate the food, but I’ve still be coming here for food over the years! It never grows old Here are some photos I took here for fun awhile back! ”
“ This place is amazing. I can’t even describe in words how good the food was. The owner was super friendly and didn’t rush us at all me and my friend could catch up and take our time chatting. The atmosphere is great. I felt like I was at home eating. ”
